I posted this little ditty of an article on AssociatedContent today. . . it's part of staying on track with my article marketing, which I've been touting lately.
EXCERPT
SEO copywriting is a lucrative niche in freelance writing -- especially right now. But, many are entering on the low end of this profession, eg, $5 SEO article writing gigs. If you're a good SEO copywriter, you don't have to settle for this!
This is advice for SEO copywriters who are just starting out - and for more experienced ones who may be struggling to find high-paying SEO writing gigs. These two keys to landing high-paying clients should always be at the forefront when marketing for SEO writing jobs. Read the rest here.
How to Sell Clients on Your SEO Article Writing Services
Yesterday, I got a call from a potential client who was referred by an existing client. She's launching a brand new site and was completely in the dark about how much content she needed, how long it would take and how much it would cost.
I patiently walked her through what she needed, why, how long it would take and how much it would cost. She was relieved and impressed, saying something to the effect of "You really seem to know your stuff."
So my tip of the day for selling clients on your SEO article writing services is that you have to be a bit of an business consultant in this area. Many clients don't understand the whole "article marketing thing" and why it's one of the best ways to drive traffic to a new website -- relatively cheaply. What's in it for you, of course, is constant work.
All websites need fresh, unique content. Explaining the why behind this will convince most clients of the need for it readily. And, because you're the one who explained it and "knows their stuff," you'll most likely be the one they use when they're ready.
Whether I'll eventually get work from this prospect, I don't know. But, I do know that I left her with the lasting impression that I'm an SEO professional. And, most times -- that's enough to get the job.
Don't forget, SEO is still pretty new and the vast majority of web users and website owners are clueless about it. This means more work for you -- the SEO professional. If you really want to start a lucrative SEO writing career get the ebook, How to Make $250+/Day Writing Simple, 500-Word Articles.
No Posts Next Week: I have some ebook writing I want to catch up on before the fall season rolls around and just need a bit of down time. I'll see you back here on Tuesday, August 12th, when I'll resume my usual Tues-Thurs posting schedule.
In the meantime, I hope you're squeezing every bit of fun out of summer!
Sincerely,
Yuwanda Black, Publisher
