SEO Writer: One Freelance Writer's Success Story

Today’s update is on SEO Mary, which I’ve been promising practically all week. I’ve been so busy lately that I didn’t even query Mary. Sweet soul that she is, I think she’s come to feel some responsibility to readers of her foray into SEO writing, so she took it upon herself to email me.

Even though I would have gotten around to it eventually, I’m glad she took the step. FYI, this is officially Part VII of this series. Read it from the beginning here.

Series Note: I had put an official end to this series at Part V. Obviously, it’s gone past that and may go a few more. I’ll always have a post on my blog when I’m going to post an update to the series.

Mary Lands a Client Who LOVES Her Work -- She writes:

Good afternoon, Yuwanda. I've been wanting to e-mail you with an update, but wanted to wait until I had definitive news -- and now I have it! Things are progressing well. I have a client who LOVES my work. I've written seven articles for him so far, and he's hoping to give me more soon. I know I should be marketing more but I'm going to be absolutely swamped with work over the next few weeks, because....

Have a good weekend everybody. I'm feeling a little under the weather, so am knocking off early today to get some rest. Don't forget -- job leads are below.

Today’s Freelance Writing Jobs / SEO Writing Jobs
Note about job listings: I list positions that offer immediate work – and future work. Keeping your pipeline full requires taking a long-range approach and thinking out of the box (eg, sending in your credentials to FT postings). That's why explanations may be given w/some listings.

Freelance Sports Writer ($30 per 500-word article)

Clean your Colon While Making Some Green ($100 per submission; an unusual freelance writing opportunity)

Know IT Security? (new writers encouraged to apply)

Editor for Attorney Newsletter (looking for someone to develop an ongoing relationship with. This is a gret way to build your portfolio and really take over a targeted, profitable niche (legal))

Editor: Pharmaceutical Agency (I happen to know from recruiting for these types of positions that those who have AMA experience (especially if they worked for an ad agency) are almost always in demand. Even though this is a FT position, if you have AMA exp, send in your freelance profile b/c ad agencies almost always use freelancers -- and they pay darn well too!)

Classified Ad Gunslinger (love that headline!). $1 per headline accepted. Hundreds available.

Hi,

If one is to try and grow ones readership base, you must have original and thought provoking articles that may unlikely be found elsewhere on the web. Sometimes regurgitating often-heard information is a direct result of the things we read. Instead of forming our own ideas, we accept ideas and innovate them but that still doesn’t make us unique.

Anyways, I might have gone on a tangent here but I just wanted to let you know that I myself am an seo writer and appreciate your article. :D

Respectfully,

Hey, is there any chance you might have an email list for other jobs out there for freelance seo writers?

I started as a freelance web content writer and as my client base grew, I decided to put up my own web content development in San Francisco. The key is to love your work and treat your clients well.
